Common Fault Repair Method
1. Fuse blown or fused
If the fuse of the power supply you bought back is blown, we should mainly check the large filter capacitors, rectifier bridge diodes and switch tubes above 300V. In addition, the problem of the anti-interference circuit will also cause the fuse to burn out and turn black. It should be noted that the fuse blown due to the breakdown of the switch tube will generally burn out the current detection resistor and the power control chip, and the negative temperature coefficient thermistor is also easy to burn out with the fuse.
2. No output fuse is normal
If our power supply has no output during use but the fuse is normal, this phenomenon indicates that the switching power supply is working or entering the protection state. First, it is necessary to check whether the startup pin of the power control chip has a startup voltage. If there is no startup voltage or the startup voltage is too low, check whether the startup resistor and the components connected to the startup pin are leaking. If the power control chip is normal at this time, the above inspection can quickly find the fault. If there is a startup voltage, measure whether the output end of the control chip has a high or low level jump at the startup moment. If there is no jump, it means that the control chip is damaged, and there is a problem with the peripheral oscillation circuit components or protection circuit. You can replace the new control chip. Check the peripheral components. If there is a jump, it is usually because the switch tube is damaged.
3. There is output voltage, but the output voltage is too high
If our power supply has output during operation, but the output voltage is too high, this type of fault generally occurs in the voltage stabilization sampling and voltage stabilization control circuit. At the DC output end, the sampling resistor, error sampling amplifier (such as TL431), optocoupler, power supply control chip and other circuits together constitute a closed-loop control loop. Any problem in any circuit may cause the output voltage to increase.
4. The output voltage is too low
If the output voltage of our power supply is too low during operation, in addition to the low output voltage caused by the voltage stabilization control circuit, there are also the following reasons:
a. The load of the switching power supply is short-circuited or faulty. At this time, all loads of the switching power supply should be disconnected to distinguish whether it is a switching power supply circuit fault or a load circuit fault. If the load circuit is disconnected and the voltage output is normal, it means that the load is too heavy. If it is normal, it means that the switching power supply circuit is faulty;
b. The rectifier diode, filter capacitor and other faults at the output voltage end can be judged by substitution method;
c. The performance degradation of the switch tube will inevitably lead to the failure of the switch tube to conduct normally. This is caused by the increase of the internal resistance of the power supply and the decrease of the load capacity.
d. The switch transformer is bad, resulting in a drop in output voltage.
